Fashion Prime Showcases the Fashion Trends of 2024

Fashion Prime, bringing together the ready-to-wear industry at Fuarizmir, opened its doors to visitors. Showcasing fabrics, garment sub-industry products, ready-to-wear collections and accessories under one roof, the expo serves as a powerful platform for trade while setting the direction for 2024 fashion trends through its fashion shows and exhibitions.

Hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Fashion Prime – 6th Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Expo, organized by İZFAŞ at Fuarizmir, welcomed visitors from 17–19 October 2023. On the opening day, three fashion shows attracted a large audience of domestic and international guests.

Among the highlights was "From Pasture to the Runway – Felt in the Water Crisis Caused by Climate Change," featuring designs by master felt artist Ayfer Güleç. The programme also included mixed-fabric runway presentations showcasing garments created from the collections of leading textile manufacturers, with renowned model Özge Ulusoy among the featured models.

2024 Fashion Trends Debut at Fashion Prime

One of the most striking presentations featured garments created live on the runway, where fabrics were pinned directly onto models to produce spontaneous, one-of-a-kind designs. The fashion show was choreographed by Serkan Duman and Gökhan Duman, unveiling exhibitors' 2024 fabric collections.

The day's closing show, organized by World of Fashion Erkan Yılmaz and choreographed by Serkan Duman and Gökhan Duman, presented the new-season collections of 20 leading Turkish brands.

During the presentation titled "The Dance of Fabrics," featuring Özge Ulusoy, vibrant colour palettes dominated the runway, with orange, green and blue emerging as the key shades expected to define fashion trends in 2024.

Art and Fashion Come Together

As part of the International Türkiye Textile Biennial, organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and curated by writer and artist Nihat Özdal, the expo also hosted the exhibition "Transition Depths: Buttons" along with several other contemporary art exhibitions, creating a unique dialogue between fashion, textiles and art.

A Comprehensive Business Platform for the Ready-to-Wear Industry

Fashion Prime brings together leading manufacturers from the ready-to-wear industry with supplier companies, while offering fashion brands the opportunity to exchange knowledge and establish new collaborations with professionals ranging from fashion designers to accessory and component manufacturers.
